Materials Needed
- EVA foam sheet (5-10mm thick, e.g., yoga mat or craft foam)
- Scissors/utility knife, hot glue gun (or EVA-specific adhesive)
- Hole punch, ruler, pencil
- Optional: Acrylic paint, ribbons, or embellishments
Steps
-
Trace & Cut
- Draw your foot outline on the foam, adding 1-2cm extra length. Cut two identical soles.
-
Create Straps
- Cut two 1.5-2cm-wide straps (length = foot circumference + 10cm). Punch holes near the toe area of the sole.
-
Assemble
- Thread straps through the holes, crossing them to form a "Y" shape. Glue strap ends to the sole’s sides.
-
Decorate
- Paint designs or glue foam cutouts for flair. Add textured soles (e.g., hot-glue lines) for grip.
Tips
- Let glue dry fully (24 hours) before wearing.
- Avoid prolonged water exposure to preserve foam.
